At Ichipalayam Thamaraipalayam near Oonjalur there is the famous Kotdayanna Sami and the beautiful Nachi Amman temple. The first anniversary celebration of Kumbhabhishek of this temple was held. On this occasion, Tirtha was taken from Cauvery river and brought to the temple. This was followed by abhisheka and worship to the temple Ganapati Jeham and Sami. After that Sami was decorated with special decorations and Maha Deeparathan was performed. A large number of devotees participated in this and had darshan of Sami. Later, the devotees who participated in the function were given alms.
